It's modeled after the manufacturer's original look at fit. It does feature power remote capabilities, so that means you'll be able to adjust the mirror face position using the factory power controls from inside the vehicle. It also has an amber light on the back of the mirror that flashes when your turn signal is activated.It features an OE grade convex glass with first surface plating to reflect clear images, so that means that the front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome, and the convex lens provides a wide angle view that really helps reduce blind spots.It also has a breakaway design, like a lot of mirrors.
So if it's struck from the front or from the back, it will fold to help deter breakage. We're looking at a nice, durable plastic housing with a black finish. The cover can be painted to match your vehicle, if desired. It's an easy no-drill installation, uses the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror. It also has the foam pad that goes over this area here.

The product is a good fit. Very close to the original manufacturer mirror. Installing it was straightforward and I had no issues with the fit.
The only issue I have is with the products availability. The website did not state that it was on backorder when I purchased it, so I had to wait over three weeks for delivery. Not a deal-breaker, but a heads up before I purchased would have been good so I could decide whether or not to proceed. I'm glad I didn't absolutely need the mirror by a certain day. Otherwise this would be a different review entirely.
I definitely recommend etrailer for purchasing though. All of their products I have ordered are very good quality.
The good outweighs the bad with this replacement. The new K-Source mirror seems like it gives me a little bit wider angle of visibility than the OEM mirror. I appreciate that, but I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't simply just swap out the K-Source cover with my OEM cover. Truck looks like it has an eyepatch now! All in all, almost considered buying the right hand side for a matching set. I'll leave it for now.
